As with every brand, we recommend that owners of GE refrigerators have their condensers cleaned once a year.  Not only does condenser cleaning improves the efficiency of freezers and refrigerators, but failing to clean the condenser can result in damage to the sealed system, impairing and eventually stopping the unit's ability to function. Sealed system repairs (when done properly) are very time consuming, labor intensive, and costly.  In some cases, the cost of a sealed system repair can approach that of a new unit which is why we're so adamant about getting your condenser cleaned!
